I will be glued on TV this Sunday
The Premier League is having its tightest race for the top spot in years, and this Sunday the four top teams are matching up in two killer games: Liverpool v. ManUtd and Arsenal v. Chelsea. I am luckily in Turkey, which means I can watch both games on local TV (free!).
Here is how the BBC presents the recent performance of these teams:
which is proof that even sports journalists now use Excel.
Devoted readers of this blog know who I am rooting for.
there's a Valencia-Barcelona too..

Given that it's the BBC, I'll guess their reporter got the idea from the Oxford or Cambridge bumps charts, as at

I must admit that the title race this year is shaping way more exciting than usual. Although my personal interest will rest manly in Yokohama earlier in the day I would gladly watch both games on offer (being in Vancouver, BC it means I will have a busy morning). In view of the recent anti-foreign debate in English soccer it would be curious to see what percentage of the starting 44 will be of English origin? My bet is no more than 20%!!!

As a devoted reader of your blog from Turkey i know that you are a Manchester United fun. It is interesting that you are unable to watch Manchester United games in the USA due to the poor game selections of the Fox Soccer Channel while you watch the Premier League on Fox Turkey when you are here. Now i am watching Arsenal- Chealse game on Fox Tv.

There were supposed to be Ajax-PSV, Feyenoord-AZ in the Dutch Eredivisie too that weekend but both were canceled because of police strike. Don't they ever learn that strike is irrational?
Sheeeeeeh....
